What makes us different?
Since the infancy of LED sign technology when the first system was bulky with a data cable 3 inches in diameter and each LED being 1 inch wide, Digital Tech Services, LLC and Founder, John Harris, have been providing digital LED signage and real time translations for opera, symphonies, choral, ballet and various other mediums requiring verbal and image enhancement. Things have come a long way - systems are modular, using a CAT5 cable as well as the smallest LED's in the industry. While the technology may be available to every advertising company in Times Square, the software is not. By creating specific captioning programming which allows for realtime playback, it also allows for instant editing should the need arise. As more companies are required to provide ADA compliant options for their audiences, we have been leading the way with cost effective solutions. Whether through rental or custom order for purchase, we want our customers to know we are there for them and to help them get the best product for their venue and clientele. David has worked with DTS for over 20 years, installing, running and training users on our equipment. He knows the system inside and out. He has also worked in the entertainment industry for over 35 years under many guises from Technical Director to Lighting Designer. David brings great expertise and personality to the company.

John Harris
While working with Virginia Opera as Director of Production, John decided there had to be a better way to have supertitles for performances than the old dim slide projector system. So he set out to design and engineer a realtime digital system that could carry the information across the brightly lit stage to the audience. After that the system and the software became the standard and has not been matched since. John has gone on to work, doing other jobs with many companies in the Entertainment Industry, finding many applications in which this system helps the industry to meet the standards being set by the ADA regulations but still remaining an affordable option.
